Build a live countdown to any future event, deadline or appointment.
Set any future date and time and the page calculates the remaining whole days plus hours, minutes and seconds. The counter updates every second, which makes it more useful than a date-only counter when the time of day matters.
Create a countdown to a flight departure, wedding ceremony, exam start, application cut-off, online launch, holiday departure, birthday party or family visit. A deadline at 5:00 pm is a good example of why the time field matters: “2 days” alone can hide whether you have 49 hours or barely 24 hours left.
The large number is the count of complete 24-hour periods remaining. Hours, minutes and seconds are the remainder after those full days. The target is interpreted in the timezone configured on your device. If another person is in a different timezone, their local clock may not describe the same instant unless you first convert the target correctly.
The event name and target you type into this tool are used by the page in your browser to run the countdown. This version does not create an account or a hosted public countdown page, and refreshing or closing the page should not be treated as permanent storage of the event. Keep the official event details somewhere else if you need a lasting record.
A browser countdown is a planning aid, not an official timekeeper. An incorrect device clock, daylight-saving change, timezone mistake or incorrectly entered target can shift the result. For flights, court or government filing cut-offs, financial markets, ticket releases and other time-critical events, confirm the official time and timezone with the responsible organisation.
