Sea surface height above mean sea level in metres. Positive values = above average, negative = below. Higher values indicate high tide conditions; lower values indicate low tide.

About This Tide Tool

This tool uses Open-Meteo's Marine Weather API and DWD ocean data to provide modelled sea-level height for coastal locations worldwide. The values include tides, atmospheric pressure and other sea-level effects and are referenced to global mean sea level rather than a local chart datum.

Location search uses Open-Meteo Geocoding to convert place names into coordinates, then passes those coordinates to the ocean forecast API. Your location is only used for this look-up and nothing is stored.
