Find out exactly how many weeks are between two dates, including partial weeks and remaining days.
Total days between the two dates divided by 7, rounded to one decimal place.
Yes, the result shows both complete weeks and the remaining days.
Yes โ the start date defaults to today so just set your end date.
This page converts the actual day interval between two dates into complete seven-day weeks plus any remaining days. That makes the result easier to use for schedules that are naturally organised by week rather than by month, such as training blocks, course timetables, pregnancy tracking, rosters and short project phases.
If a project is described as lasting ten weeks, this calculator can check the real interval between the proposed start and finish dates. A result of 9 full weeks and 5 remaining days tells you the planned dates do not quite cover ten complete seven-day periods. Conversely, a result above ten weeks shows how much contingency is built into the schedule.
Weekly intervals are common in pregnancy, education, fitness programs, rental periods, employee rosters and project sprints. In each case, the raw number of calendar days can be harder to interpret than a weeks-and-days result. For a pregnancy or medical timeline, treat the calculator as a calendar aid only and use clinical dating when it differs.
A โfull weekโ here means seven elapsed days. It does not mean Monday through Sunday, nor does it count how many named calendar weeks appear on a wall calendar. For example, an interval can cross two different calendar-week numbers without containing two complete seven-day periods.
The calculation uses ordinary Gregorian calendar dates. It does not remove weekends or public holidays, and it does not apply industry-specific rules for school terms, pregnancy dating, rental notices or legal deadlines. When a formal rule defines how a week must be counted, use that rule alongside the calculator result.
